Antiaging Make Up Tips

Makeup allows us to mask the small imperfections on our skin. Some of these antiaging make up tips can even help diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles, if you use the proper makeup. Follow these anti-aging cosmetic tips to enhance your appearance.

Start with clean skin. Use skin care with anti-aging ingredients to give your skin the best possible care. Then begin with a good base or foundation.

Foundation

Did you know that make up artists always use a primer under foundation? A primer helps to smooth and minimize the visual appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores. Use a primer before applying foundation to give your skin a base and a flawless look.

Use cosmetics with a clear microbase instead of a talc base. A clear microbase helps to extend wear and doesn't crease or flake.

Choose a foundation with botanical antioxidant ingredients such as vitamins A, C & E. These keep the colors from oxidizing and helps the color remain true.

Choose a foundation with light-reflecting ingredients. The reflected light helps mask the fine lines and wrinkles.

Use a foundation that contains gamma amino butyric acid (GABA), a topical natural alternative to Botox. I personally don't want someone sticking a needle in my face and injecting chemicals. GABA relaxes the muscles and decreases the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Mineral powders are popular and I do use one for the summer, but in the winter I choose a liquid foundation with a dewy finish. A matte finish on extremely dry skin can enhance lines and wrinkles. And powder can settle in the wrinkle and make it more noticeable.

Use a concealer to mask any dark circles under your eyes. Apply after you apply foundation. This help you to see where you really need it.

Natural Ingredients

Cucumber extract - helps remove impurities, refine pores and reduce oiliness.

Ginko Biloba extract - You may have heard of this antioxidant ingredient from the ginko biloba tree. It possesses revitalizing and firming qualities.

Soybean oil - This is a wonderful moisturizer high in vitamin E that is easily absorbed and improves the skin's elasticity.

These are just a few natural ingredients that improve the skin and can be found in some quality make up. If you want to check out products that contain these ingredients, visit my business website. (Will open in a new window.)

Color

Once you have a nice foundation it's time to apply color.

Blush - It is important to choose the right color. Apply it lightly on the cheekbone or apple of the cheek. You want to enhance and contour without adding too much color. Strive for a natural look. A good brush makes applying blush easier.

Eyes - Apply a light color to the entire eyelid. Use a darker color in the crease. Choose a favorite color or one that coordinates with your clothes on the third outer corner of the eye.

Use an eyeliner if desired to accentuate the eyes. Be sure that your eyeliner goes on softly without pulling. Pulling the eyes causes more wrinkles.

Of course, finish off with mascara. Some women use mascara and skip the eyeliner.

Lips - Use a lip pencil to outline your lips. This helps keep your lipstick from "bleeding" into your face. You can color in your lips with the pencil to help the color last longer.

Use a lipstick with peptides. Peptides combat the aging effects and actually benefits your lips by reducing the appearance of wrinkles and soothing dry, chapped lips.

Some of these tips are just good make up techniques. The key is using antiaging make up. Antiaging personal care cosmetics will also improve the skin as it enhances your beauty.
