Aging Gracefully Issues Women Face
As we get older, women particularly are interested in aging gracefully. Many of the antiaging tips on this website relate well to both

and women. For example, we all need proper

to function at our best as we get older. But some issues are gender specific. This page will discuss some of the antiaging tips that women can us to age gracefully.
Incontinence - Incontinence is one of those issues that we don't really like to talk about. I didn't even realize it was part of getting older until recently. One of the best ways to combat this is using
kegel exercises.
These exercises target the muscles that support the pelvic floor and pelvic organs. Doing them regularly can help resolve incontinence issues.
Heat Flashes/Night Sweats - This is another annoying issue that women face as we get older. Our hormones begin to change and our estrogen levels are lower. I'm not a real fan of hormone replacement therapy. I prefer a more natural approach. Avoiding triggers like
stress
alcohol and spicy foods is one way to keep
hot flashes
at bay. You may also want to try some herbal remedies. Just be sure that you
talk to your doctor
about the herbs you plan to take.
As women, we face some unique challenges in aging, but we can age gracefully as we learn about our bodies and make choices that will keep us feeling great.
