Menopause, Not For Women OnlyWhen I started Effective-Antiaging-Tips.com two years ago, I thought I'd be addressing the needs of women as they age. What I found out was that men are as interested in anti-aging as women are. Men just don't talk about it out loud. We women are more prone to discussing our "aging" while men generally don't.That's especially true when it comes to menopause. Male menopause, while not as common as menopause in females, is still a reality. Men get heat flashes, have mood swings and have difficulty sleeping just like women do. But since men don't talk about it, they may feel like they are alone. Male menopause occurs when the testosterone levels drop below a certain level. Then symptoms of menopause begin to appear. These may include heat flashes or night sweats, fuzzy brain feelings or forgetfulness, difficulty falling asleep or sleeping deeply, as well as mood swings and irritability. Women may think that their man is going through a mid-life crisis, when in reality is may be male menopause. Treatment for male menopause can consist of hormone replacement, dealing with the specific symptoms and vitamin supplementation. See your doctor if you want more detailed advice about treatment options. You won't be the only one. Grow Your Own Body Parts?I subscribe to several anti-aging journals and magazines to keep up with what is going on in the anti-aging world. One article, that I found on the internet talks about the research being done to grow organs. Now these aren't just any organs. These are organs grown from cells from your own organ. The cells are placed into nutrients where they multiply. As the concoction grows, it is applied to an organ shaped form and placed in an incubator. There, the cells reproduce and build a new organ. Currently research is being done on bladders, ears, arteries and heart valves. Even fingers and toes are being grown. While this is still very experimental, if successful, it could bring an end to organ shortages and long waiting lists. The FDA has not signed off on this yet, more research still needs to be done. However, lab-grown bladders have been transplanted in humans so we'll have to wait for the results. But who knows, this may be a scientific breakthrough. Start Your Own Business This YearHave you ever thought about starting your own business? Too expensive? Don't know where to start? Don't think you "know" enough? That's what I thought when I first started Effective-Antiaging-Tips.com. But I soon realized that with the right training, it really wasn't that difficult. Did it take time? Yes. Did I make money overnight? No. But I did learn to build a successful website and it was fun.I'm offering two free gifts to my readers this Christmas season. The first is a Netwriting Masters Course. You'll learn how to write for the internet, get more traffic and sell more. If you already have a website or are thinking about starting one, download this free e-book and use it to grow your business or teach you to start one correctly. Perhaps you are a stay-at-home mom (or dad) or would like to be. The Work At Home Moms Masters Course will teach you everything you need to know about starting a business at home. It outlines several different types of businesses with pros and cons. Finally, it talks about how to start a successful on-line internet business all while staying at home. This book isn't just for Moms. You may be retired, homebound or even just want to get out of the rat race. This e-book is for you. There's no catch, no hidden fees. They're my gifts to you. Just click on the "book" to download one or both and enjoy. If you think you'd like to start your own internet business with Site Build It, I'd appreciate if you'd use my link in the books or come back to my website to sign up. I get a small commission. But if you don't, no hard feelings - just get out there and do something you LOVE! That's one secret to keeping young.
What Do You Do?Christmas seems to be one time of the year that even our best intentions fly out the window. Do you have any suggestions to keeping up with your exercise routine during the holidays? How about a healthy recipe that keeps you on track with your diet? Stop by the The Antiaging Forum and visit one or all of our four forums and tell us what you do to keep healthy over the Christmas and New Year's holiday.Almond Thumbprint CookiesChristmas cookies seem like a part of Christmas. But what about all that white flour and sugar? One of my favorite cookies is a thumbprint cookie. Try this adaptation that contains no refined flour or sugar. Not familiar with brown rice syrup? It's a sweetener made from brown rice. Choose a fruit spread that doesn't contain any added sugar for the healthiest treat.Ingredients Directions
